Seeing families who have lost babies at all stages in their pregnancy. So thankful that I was able to carry my two singleton babies full term and healthy, a singleton surrogate baby to term to be welcomed into his parents arms, twins a little pre-term, but healthy and being doted over like crazy and now I have baby #3 for us nestled into my abdomen right where he belongs developing wonderfully! Also I just found out a friend who has small children and is my age (30) has brain cancer that is too late to do anything about. Makes you appreciate life that much more and all you have is precious! :)

  883. ♥ I am thankful that my baby is home. I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy after 8 weeks of bedrest and if bedrest isn't hard enough I also had a 20 month old too! He was born with esophageal atresia (meaning he had a gap in his esophagus, 3.45 cm's to be exact) and spent 81 LONG days in the NICU. Alexander was taken to the OR when he was only 15 hrs old to have a gastrostomy tube and a central line inserted. When he was 68 days old he had major surgery to attach the two ends of his esophagus. Post op he did wonderfully and I was able to breastfeed him 7 days post op. Average discharge time post anastomosis is 10 weeks but our miracle baby was home in 13 days! I am so thankful to have my baby home!

For my mentors who don't just "allow" me to bring my son to clinic but expect me to have him with me. This Thanksgiving I am thankful for the opportunity to help so many women, children and families!
